Who Runs My Police Pension? UK Force Administrator Directory
Unlike the NHS or teachers, there is no single central pension agency for every police force in the UK. Each force's Chief Constable acts as its local Scheme Manager and appoints a specialist Pension Administrator to issue Annual Benefit Statements (ABS), McCloud Remediable Service Statements (RSS) and monthly pension payments. Use the directory below to find your administrator and member portal.

Police pension administrators — frequently asked questions
What is the difference between my Scheme Manager and my Pension Administrator?
Your Scheme Manager is the legal authority responsible for your force's police pension scheme — in England and Wales, that is your Chief Constable. Because running pension calculations, Annual Benefit Statements (ABS) and monthly pensioner payroll is highly specialised, Chief Constables contract out day-to-day administration to a dedicated Pension Administrator such as XPS Administration, Equiniti, LPPA, WYPF or Dyfed Pension Fund.
How do I get my Annual Benefit Statement (ABS) or McCloud Remediable Service Statement (RSS)?
Log into your force administrator's online member portal (such as myownpension.co.uk for XPS forces, PensionPoint for LPPA, MyPension for WYPF, or pensions.gov.scot for SPPA in Scotland). If you are leaving or retiring from the police, make sure you switch your portal login from your work .police.uk email address to a personal email address before your last day of service.
Who administers pensions for civilian police staff and PCSOs?
Civilian police staff and PCSOs in England, Wales and Scotland do NOT belong to the Police Pension Scheme (PPS 2015). Instead, they are members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), administered by the county or metropolitan local authority pension fund for their force area (for example, Greater Manchester Pension Fund for GMP staff, West Midlands Pension Fund for WMP staff, or LPFA for Met Police staff).
Who do I contact if my police pension tax code or April inflation increase looks wrong?
Your Pension Administrator acts as your PAYE payer once your pension is in payment. They apply the annual April Pensions Increase (CPI) automatically from the first Monday after 6 April (pro-rated in your first year of retirement, and paid from age 55 unless retired on ill-health). If your tax code is wrong (for example, an emergency BR or D0 code when starting a post-retirement job), contact HMRC via your Personal Tax Account so HMRC can issue an updated coding notice to your Pension Administrator.
